  • Kaz Grala will be making his first NASCAR Xfinity Series start at Michigan International Speedway
  • Grala has participated in one previous event at the two-mile track in the Truck Series, earning a 12th-place finish in 2017
  • Grala’s best qualifying effort of the season (12th) was captured at the only other two-mile racetrack on the schedule, Auto Club Speedway
  • The Xfinity Series will once again be running the special aero package used last weekend in Pocono
  • This week’s aero package is expected to produce similar racing to a superspeedway, which Grala has experienced success with in the past: Grala kicked off the 2018 Xfinity Series season with a fourth-place finish in Daytona, and his first win in NASCAR’s top-three series came at the Truck Series race in Daytona in 2017

“I’ve only ever raced at Michigan once in a Truck, so it's not a track that I would say I know super well. With the aero package this weekend, I think we're going to see a very different kind of race there than ever before. I'm hoping that it will play to my strengths, because we are predicting a plate-track style of racing on Saturday. I've had success in the past at Daytona, so maybe I can bring some of that past experience to the table. Fury Race Cars has been overachieving so far, and I'm confident that this weekend will be no exception. I'm so proud of everyone on this team and what they have been able to accomplish already, and we're only halfway through our four-race deal.”
