  • Kaz Grala made his Fury Race Cars debut last weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway, impressively scoring a top-10 finish in the team’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series event
  • This will be Grala’s first Xfinity Series race at Pocono Raceway, but he has previous starts at the track in both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Racing Series
  • In the ARCA event at the Tricky Triangle last year, Grala sat on the pole with a 170.497 mph qualifying lap, led 30 of 60 laps and ultimately finished fourth
  • This will be Grala’s first time ever running the special aero package for this weekend, which was implemented at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2017
  • Grala currently sits 16th in the NXS Driver Point Standings, up three spots following his 10th-place finish at Charlotte last week

“I love going to Pocono because it's one of the quirkiest tracks on the circuit. I've done two races there before in ARCA and Trucks, with a pole in the ARCA race. With our aero package this weekend, however, I'm not sure how much prior experience is going to matter. Nobody knows exactly what to expect or what kind of racing style we will see on Saturday, so I have to be prepared for anything. In a way, I think it puts me on a more level playing field as a rookie, because the guys with dozens of races at Pocono will be trying to figure out the package just as I am. Our debut performance at Charlotte is going to be hard to follow up, but that's not stopping anyone here at Fury Race Cars from working hard to get even better. I can't wait to see how it goes.”
